A lecture on stress and pressure management in cooperation with the Iraqi Syndicate for Training and Development

A lecture on stress management was held in cooperation with the Iraqi Syndicate for Training and Development. The College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him) organized an awareness lecture entitled “Stress Management” in cooperation with the Iraqi Syndicate for Training and Development. The lecture was delivered by Mustafa Al-Tai and Sabah Al-Jubouri. It aimed to raise students' awareness of ways to deal with psychological stress and academic and professional pressures, and to enhance their skills in managing daily challenges within the university and medical environment. The Dean of the College of Medicine emphasized its continued support for awareness initiatives that contribute to developing mental health and building a more aware and understanding university environment.

A workshop in cooperation with Al-Alamein Center for Continuing Education on “Creating Purposeful Content”

A workshop on “Creating Purposeful Content” was organized by the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him), in collaboration with Al-Alamein Center for Continuing Education, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi and Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Saadoun Al-Ghazi. The workshop aimed to develop the skills of students and other stakeholders in crafting purposeful educational and media content that contributes to enhancing academic culture and disseminating knowledge in an innovative and effective manner. The workshop also addressed content production tools and techniques, as well as modern digital communication methods, reflecting the college's vision of integrating traditional education with digital initiatives and practical skills. The supervisors emphasized the College of Medicine's commitment to supporting all educational and training initiatives that enhance students' skills and open up broad horizons for creativity and academic excellence.

A training workshop on student attendance management software as part of the digital transformation project.

A training workshop on the Student Attendance Management Program was held as part of the Digital Transformation Project. In line with the College of Medicine's directives towards digital transformation and the development of academic services, a training workshop entitled "Student Attendance Management Program in Classrooms, Laboratories, and Hospitals" was organized in cooperation with the Electronic Computing Center. The workshop, presented by Engineer Mustafa Jamal Saadoun, aimed to review the mechanism for using the new electronic system for recording student attendance via QR code instead of traditional paper methods. This contributes to facilitating attendance tracking and enhancing the accuracy and speed of academic reports. This event is part of a series of technical and developmental activities implemented by the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University in support of digital transformation plans and the use of technology in developing the university environment.

Scientific and cultural seminar to promote national awareness and thought among students

Under the patronage of the President of Warith Al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him), Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, and under the supervision and in the presence of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Saadoun Al-Ghazi, the College of Medicine held a scientific seminar entitled "Aspects of the Practices of the Deposed Ba'ath Party." The seminar featured presentations by Professor Dr. Saad Al-Din Hashem Al-Banna, Professor Dr. Ahmed Yaqoub Ibrahim, and Dr. Sabah Al-Jubouri, and took place on Tuesday morning, October 21, 2025, in the workshops and training hall of the Al-Naeem Building. The seminar began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah for the souls of Iraq's righteous martyrs, followed by the playing of the Iraqi national anthem, marking the start of the event. A number of professors, students, and those interested in historical and national affairs were in attendance. The seminar aimed to shed light on the repressive practices and violations committed by the deposed Ba'athist regime and the profound negative impact these practices had on Iraqi society. It also emphasized the importance of educating new generations about the history of that period to instill the values ​​of freedom, justice, and national belonging. This seminar is part of a series of scientific and cultural activities organized by the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him) to promote national awareness and thought among students, and to draw lessons and morals from history to build a more conscious and just future.

Ultrasound workshop

The activities of the Arbaeen Medical Detachments affiliated with the College of Medicine at Warith al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him) continue. They are committed to providing quality medical services to pilgrims commemorating the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), in addition to organizing scientific training workshops for our dear students. In this context, the International Imamate Organization (IMI) held a specialized ultrasound workshop, which addressed the basics of ultrasound imaging and its uses in medical diagnosis. The workshop was supervised by a group of distinguished medical personnel. These activities aim to enhance students' field experience and hone their practical skills, making them better prepared to serve the community.

Muhammad Ali Al-Mousawi, a sixth-year student from the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him), delivered a Basic Life Support (BLS) first aid training workshop to a group of students from various medical colleges. The workshop was hosted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports - Scientific Care Department, and attended by the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports. The workshop included training participants on the basics of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and emergency response, and was met with great interaction from attendees who praised the level of preparation and presentation.

A specialized scientific workshop for medical students within the Forty Detachments

As part of the medical detachments' activities to serve pilgrims commemorating the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), and in cooperation with the International Imamiyya Organization (IMI), a scientific workshop was organized for medical students entitled: "Fluids Management and Electrolytes Disturbance." The workshop was presented by Dr. Ali Abbas Naqavi from the United States of America. He discussed the latest methods in fluid management and the treatment of electrolyte disturbances in the body, with realistic clinical cases presented to enhance students' practical understanding. This event aims to develop medical students' skills and enhance their academic proficiency by providing them with the opportunity to interact directly with international medical expertise, contributing to the preparation of a qualified medical generation to serve the community and honorable pilgrims during the blessed pilgrimage.

As part of the medical preparations for the Arbaeen pilgrimage, a number of medical students at Warith Al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him) participated in a training workshop held in the emergency room of Safir Al-Imam Al-Hussein Hospital (peace be upon him). The workshop, presented by Dr. Alaa Al-Janabi, focused on dealing with emergency cases and first aid, with the goal of enhancing students' readiness to participate in the medical services provided to pilgrims.

A Humanitarian Initiative to Detect Heart Diseases in Orphans

Based on the spirit of solidarity and social responsibility, and in the presence of the University President, Professor Ibrahim Saeed Al-Hayawi, the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him), in cooperation with the Mercy Organization for Child Health, organized a humanitarian health initiative for early detection of heart disease among a number of orphaned children from the Imam Reza (peace be upon him) Charitable Foundation, affiliated with the representative office of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Sayyid Ali Al-Husseini Al-Sistani (may his shadow endure) in the holy city of Karbala.The initiative was supervised by a specialized medical team, where cardiac examinations were conducted with precision and care to diagnose potential cases and provide treatment recommendations.The initiative also contributed to the clinical training of a number of medical students within a realistic, humanitarian environment, reflecting the essence of the medical profession, which is built on compassion and giving.

A workshop on "Crowd Medicine Management" organized by the World Health Organization in cooperation with Warith Al-Anbiya University

The World Health Organization (WHO), in cooperation with Warith Al-Anbiya University, held a training workshop entitled:"Crowd Medicine Management," targeting (40) students from the medical group. The workshop aimed to enhance students' competence in dealing with large gatherings from a health and organizational perspective. It included theoretical and practical training topics that addressed the most important principles of crowd management, especially during religious pilgrimage seasons and major events.

Within the framework of community cooperation and health solidarity, the College of Medicine at Warith al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him) organized a first aid training workshop targeting non-medical staff from the Athar al-Ataa team affiliated with the Karbala Provincial Council. The workshop was delivered by a number of sixth-year medical students holding training certificates accredited by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Heart Association (AHA). During the workshop, they provided important practical information on dealing with emergency situations and how to save lives.

Practical Training Course: Web Application Development Using Laravel

As part of its strategic efforts to enhance students’ practical competencies, the Department of Information Technology at the College of Science, University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him), in collaboration with the Continuing Education Center, organized a hands-on training course titled “Web Application Development Using Laravel.” 🖥️ The course was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Mohammed Ali Al-Ghanimi and delivered by Lecturer Hussein Zaki Jasim Al-Mankoshi, with active participation from a select group of department students. The training aimed to utilize the summer break to strengthen students’ programming and development skills, focusing on designing and building websites using the Laravel framework — a skillset increasingly sought after in today’s competitive job market. 📌 This initiative aligns with the department’s ongoing mission to cultivate a technically proficient and innovative workforce capable of responding to market demands.

The College of Medicine at Warith al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him) organized a training workshop for its students, in preparation for providing medical services to pilgrims of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) during the flag-changing ceremony of the two holy shrines on the first of Muharram. The workshop included lectures and practical training on first aid and emergency evacuation, in preparation for participation in this occasion, which witnesses a large public turnout.
