As part of its scientific and training activities, the College of Media at Warith Al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him) held a specialized training course entitled “Media Misinformation”, targeting third-year students in the Digital Media Department, in the Al-Ula building on campus.

The course was presented by Assistant Lecturer Haider Khalil, and it covered a range of key topics related to the mechanisms of media manipulation and its effects on shaping public awareness. The topics were as follows:

The first axis: Covert media and its most important tools, where it addressed the concept of covert media, the means and techniques used to direct public opinion indirectly, and its role in shaping collective consciousness. The second axis addressed rumors and propaganda and their methods, where the axis reviewed the mechanisms of rumors as a tool of psychological warfare. In addition to analyzing the concept of propaganda (directed publicity) and its traditional and modern methods of influencing the public, the third axis focused on the phenomenon of targeting influential figures (role models) in the media, and how this is used to shape the trends of societies and undermine confidence in inspiring role models.
