As part of the Guidance Week activities and in the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan, the College of Media at Warith Al-Anbiya University (PBUH) organized a guidance lecture for first-year students entitled “The Etiquette of Fasting and Avoiding Prohibited Things”. The lecture was presented by Dr. Saleh Majeed Al-Khazraji, who reviewed a set of topics that highlight guiding students towards a deeper understanding of the meanings of fasting and how to avoid prohibitions, within the framework of the college’s keenness to provide religious and educational guidance to its students.

The College of Media at Warith Al-Anbiya holds a course for its students entitled "Media Misinformation".

As part of its scientific and training activities, the College of Media at Warith Al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him) held a specialized training course entitled “Media Misinformation”, targeting third-year students in the Digital Media Department, in the Al-Ula building on campus. The course was presented by Assistant Lecturer Haider Khalil, and it covered a range of key topics related to the mechanisms of media manipulation and its effects on shaping public awareness. The topics were as follows: The first axis: Covert media and its most important tools, where it addressed the concept of covert media, the means and techniques used to direct public opinion indirectly, and its role in shaping collective consciousness. The second axis addressed rumors and propaganda and their methods, where the axis reviewed the mechanisms of rumors as a tool of psychological warfare. In addition to analyzing the concept of propaganda (directed publicity) and its traditional and modern methods of influencing the public, the third axis focused on the phenomenon of targeting influential figures (role models) in the media, and how this is used to shape the trends of societies and undermine confidence in inspiring role models.

The College of Media at Warith Al-Anbiya University organizes a lecture on the role of media in confronting violence against women

The Women’s Affairs Division, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Media at Warith Al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him), held a specialized awareness lecture entitled “The Role of Media in Highlighting Violence Against Women and Girls”, on 2/15/2026. The lecture targeted students and staff of the College of Media, and highlighted the most prominent negative phenomena that women and girls are exposed to in society, most notably domestic violence, harassment, electronic blackmail, and the scourge of drugs, with the aim of strengthening the role of the media in addressing these pressing societal issues. The lecture was presented by Assistant Lecturer Arb Al-Shami, and it addressed three main themes: The first theme: The power of media and its influence in shaping societal awareness. The lecture opened with a moving human story that captured the audience's attention, supported by alarming statistics Regarding the spread of violence against women, with the aim of establishing an understanding of the importance of the topic as a fundamental societal issue that cannot be treated as mere passing news, and the second focus: ethical and professional problems in media coverage It reviewed the most prominent challenges and wrong practices that some media outlets fall into when dealing with issues of violence against women, and the third axis included best practices towards responsible and effective coverage The lecture concluded with a set of recommendations and professional and ethical practices to ensure responsible media coverage, contributing to raising community awareness and advocating for policy and legal changes that guarantee better protection for women and girls from all forms of violence and exploitation.

The College of Media at the University of Warith Al-Anbiya (peace be upon him) held a specialized course titled "Media and Building Community Awareness" on January 24, 2026. The course was presented by Asst. Lect. Sara Mohammed and Asst. Lect. Ahmed Iyad. The session aimed to highlight the significant social responsibility of media professionals and explore how media messaging can be utilized to shape collective consciousness and direct it toward positive outcomes. The course covered three main pillars: Digital Media and Its Impact on Society: This axis examined the current digital transformation and how modern platforms can be leveraged as effective tools for positive societal guidance. Media Strategies for Raising Awareness: This pillar focused on the methodical plans and strategies adopted by reputable media institutions to counter rumors and disseminate verified facts. Media as a Driving Force for Social Change: The presenters showcased the vital role of media in championing humanitarian and national causes, transforming them from mere public opinion matters into proactive and positive social behaviors.  

The College of Media at Warith Al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him) is organizing a specialized training course

  The College of Media at Warith Al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him) organized a training course entitled “Characteristics of a Television Reporter and the Art of Dealing with the Camera”, presented by Dr. Abdul Majeed Al-Khatib and Assistant Lecturer Hazem Fadel. The course covered three main axes: the personal axis, which includes the personal qualities and charisma that a successful reporter should possess; the professional axis, which is represented by the professional standards and ethics in field work and news coverage; and the technical axis, which includes skills in dealing with the camera this includes choosing the right angles for shooting, the correct way to stand in front of the lens, as well as using smartphones to produce and edit quick news coverage. This course comes as part of a series of training and development programs offered by the College of Media to its dear students, in an effort to build a media generation capable of keeping pace with modern technologies while maintaining sound professional and academic principles.

The Women's Affairs Division at Warith Al-Anbiya University, in cooperation with the College of Media, held an educational workshop on November 26, 2025, entitled: "Women and Their Pivotal Role in the Advancement of Society." The workshop, presented by Ms. Sarah Mohammed Kadhim, a lecturer in the Digital Media Department, targeted  By investing in the pivotal role of women in building and progress students and staff of the College of Media to raise societal awareness and contribute to broadening intellectual horizons for the advancement of society.

The aim was to enhance the practical skills of the students. The visit included ongoing field work at the channel as part of the training.

A scientific workshop titled "Algorithms in Social Media and the Formation of Virtual Digital Identity" will be held for first-stage students (evening) on Monday, March 17, 2025.On 04/12/2025, the College of Media at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University organized a scientific workshop in the field of algorithms in social media and the formation of digital identity.The Dean of the College, Dr. Mohammed Gaml Al-Taif, announced that the College of Media, affiliated with the Holy Hussaini Shrine, is conducting specialized scientific workshops in digital communication to keep up with the latest technological developments and innovations in media tools. He stated that the college follows an academic scientific plan to implement the instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the university's guidelines, in addition to continuously striving to keep pace with real-time developments in digital communication and familiarizing students with the latest technologies and innovations in media through specialized workshops.He added that the college has held a specialized workshop on "Algorithms in Social Media and the Formation of Digital Identity," noting that in the era of digital transformations, algorithms play a pivotal role in customizing content for individuals, which impacts their interactions and digital identities.The workshop highlighted how digital identities are shaped through data and behavioral analysis to reinforce existing attitudes and provide content aligned with individual interests.It is worth mentioning that the workshop was presented by the faculty member in the Digital Media Department of the College of Media at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University, Professor Walaa Shaker Mahmoud.
