The College of Law at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa has organised a scientific competition for second-year students, attended by the Assistant for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr Nowfal Al-Araji. The event reflects the University’s commitment to developing students’ academic capabilities and fostering a spirit of positive competition among them.
The competition featured specialised legal questions in Criminal Law, with participating teams competing to provide answers in an engaging academic atmosphere that contributed to strengthening students’ legal analytical skills and critical thinking. The initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, by supporting interactive learning methods, and contributes to advancing Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions through preparing legal professionals who are conscious of the values of justice and the rule of law.
The competition concluded with one team being declared the winner, and the winning students were honoured with recognition awards in the form of iPad devices, in appreciation of their academic excellence and as encouragement to continue pursuing high levels of achievement.

The President of Warith Al-Anbiyaa University, Professor Ibrahim Saeed Al-Hayyawi, received a group of students from the College of Medicine who presented an entrepreneurial project idea regarded as the first of its kind at the university level. The meeting forms part of the University’s commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and enhancing students’ role in developing scientific solutions.
The discussion explored both the scientific and practical dimensions of the project, alongside an assessment of its technical and operational requirements. The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa has achieved a remarkable academic milestone, with several of its scientific departments securing advanced positions in the Ministerial Assessment Examination at the level of Iraqi universities. This accomplishment reflects the high quality of academic instruction and the continuous development of the College’s study programmes.
The Department of Accounting attained second place across Iraq, underscoring the department’s sustained academic progress driven by the dedication of its teaching staff. Meanwhile, the Department of Business Administration achieved third place, reaffirming its distinguished standing through the adoption of modern teaching methods and practical programmes that enhance students’ skills and align with labour-market needs.

The University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa has achieved a distinguished academic milestone by joining, for the first time, the QS World Sustainability Rankings 2026. This accomplishment places the University among only nine Iraqi institutions—public and private—featured in this prestigious international evaluation. According to the results, the University ranked second among private Iraqi universities and ninth among all participating Iraqi institutions, having met the required environmental and societal criteria adopted by the ranking.
This advancement serves as clear evidence of the University’s commitment to sustainable pathways, particularly through the enhancement of sustainability practices in infrastructure, energy management, and higher education. Under the patronage of the General Secretariat of the Holy Hussain Shrine, the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University held a scientific seminar titled “The Relationship Between Religion and Medicine.” The seminar was delivered by Dr Sadiq Al-Maruj and attended by a large audience of the College’s academic staff and students, as part of the University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen scientific and ethical awareness among its students.
The seminar addressed several key themes, focusing on connecting Qur’anic values to the educational journey of medical students and highlighting the impact of religious teachings on shaping the physician’s humanitarian and ethical character. Students of the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa achieved a distinguished milestone by securing fourth place at the Arab Scout Youth Award – Second Edition, hosted by the United Arab Emirates, for their innovative project “Iraq Scouts Application”.
This accomplishment was achieved under the supervision of the Department of Student Activities. The university was represented at the award ceremony by Abbas Alaa Dheyaa Al-Deen, a student from the College of Science, Department of Information Technology, and was completed in coordination with the University Scouting Committee at the Ministry of Higher Education and with the support of the Iraqi Scout Association.
The project reflects the students’ ability to apply their technical skills in serving youth communities. It aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, by promoting applied learning and innovative competencies. The College of Nursing at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa has signed a new scientific cooperation agreement with the provincial Nursing Syndicate, marking a pioneering step aimed at empowering nursing professionals and opening broad academic pathways for them to obtain advanced university qualifications that contribute to the development of their professional performance.
This agreement aligns with the university’s vision of supporting the health sector by supplying highly competent personnel, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being) through the enhancement of healthcare staff capabilities and the improvement of services provided to patients. The agreement also supports (SDG 4: Quality Education) by providing equitable and accessible educational opportunities for healthcare professionals, enabling them to continue their studies without obstacles. Moreover, the collaboration between the university and the syndicate reflects a clear commitment to (SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals) through the establishment of institutional relationships that support the advancement of health education.
The agreement includes a range of financial and academic benefits for nursing staff, most notably a 50% reduction in tuition fees and an installment plan extending over ten months, designed to eliminate any financial burden for those wishing to complete their studies.
The university emphasised that this initiative is part of its broader plan to elevate the capabilities of healthcare personnel through academic and professional support, positively impacting the performance of health institutions, improving the quality of services provided to citizens, and fostering a learning environment that keeps pace with modern developments in healthcare.

Today, Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbalaei, the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, visited the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa, where he was welcomed by the University President, Professor Dr Ibrahim Saeed Al-Hayyawi. The visit formed part of an inspection tour to review ongoing expansion and development projects within the university, undertaken as part of its strategic plans to enhance the quality of education and develop the campus environment.
During the tour, He examined the new buildings under construction, as well as service and infrastructure projects being developed to provide a modern and safe learning environment. On Friday, 14 November 2025, the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa hosted a scientific conference on the World's Diabetes Day. The event was organised by the Iraqi Society of Clinical Chemistry in collaboration with the University’s College of Medicine and Al-Hassan Centre for Endocrinology and Diabetes, and sponsored by Al-Riyada Al-Arabiya Company, under the theme:"Together for a Community Aware of Diabetes Health."
The conference was attended by the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr Ali Al-Ghazali, along with faculty members, specialised researchers from Iraq and abroad, and actively participating university students, reflecting the institution’s commitment to advancing academic and research development in the medical field.
The conference discussions focused on the latest approaches to early detection and prevention of diabetes, highlighting modern laboratory and therapeutic techniques in disease management. The Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations clarifies that these scholarships are exclusively for employees seeking to pursue a master’s degree. The application deadline is 1 December 2025.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announces the availability of seventy (70) Hungarian scholarships offered to Iraq for the academic year 2026/2027.
The Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations specifies that the scholarships are distributed as follows: ten (10) for undergraduate studies, twenty (20) for master’s programmes, and forty (40) for doctoral studies. The application deadline is 15 January 2026.

The delegation included specialists from the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority / Directorate of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The purpose of the visit was to conduct an on-site review of the university’s compliance with institutional accreditation requirements and standards. This included evaluating the academic environment, infrastructure, teaching practices, and mechanisms for quality assurance and continuous improvement.
