The activities of the Arduino Learning Workshop continued for the second consecutive day at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology – University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him), with notable interaction from first-year students.   The second day featured hands-on practica applications inside the laboratory, focusing on implementing technical ideas and projects using Arduino. The activities were supervised and guided by second-year students from the Information Technology Department, reflecting a spirit of cooperation and the exchange of experience among students.   This workshop is part of the college’s ongoing activities aimed at enhancing the practical aspect of learning and developing students’ technical skills.

Second-Year Information Technology Students Share Their Practical Experience with First-Year Students The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University (peace be upon him) organized a training workshop entitled “Learning Arduino.” The workshop was delivered by student Ali Haider Jabbar, a second-year student in the Information Technology Department. It covered the fundamentals of Arduino and how it can be used to implement artificial intelligence applications and various technological projects. The workshop aimed to develop students’ practical skills, promote the exchange of experience between different academic stages, and link theoretical knowledge with practical application.

An Awareness Workshop Entitled “Karbala Free of Drugs – The Role of Security Institutions”

The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University (Peace Be Upon Him) Launches an Awareness Workshop Titled“Karbala Free of Drugs – The Role of Security Institutions” The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University (peace be upon him), in cooperation with the Iraqi National Security Service / Training and Development Directorate and the Karbala Security Directorate, launched an awareness workshop entitled “Karbala Free of Drugs – The Role of Security Institutions.” The workshop targeted first-year students in the Departments of Information Technology, Cybersecurity, and Artificial Intelligence. The workshop was delivered by Training Officer Major Ghaith Ali Hameed Al-Masoudi, who addressed—through an interactive and awareness-based approach—the dangers of drugs and their health, psychological, and social effects, in addition to the legal aspects in accordance with the Anti-Narcotics Law No. (50) of 2017, as well as the religious perspective that prohibits this scourge due to its destructive impact on individuals and society. The workshop also emphasized the importance of student awareness and community vigilance, highlighting the role of university youth in drug prevention. It introduced mechanisms for contacting security agencies through the hotline (131) to report suspicious cases with complete confidentiality, contributing to the enhancement of community and campus security. At the conclusion of the workshop, Assistant Lecturer Nabil Sadiq Abdul Abbas Al-Sharifi, Head of the Department of Information Technology, presented a certificate of appreciation to the training officer in recognition of his valuable efforts and effective contribution to spreading security awareness and preventive culture among our dear students.

For the second consecutive day, the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University (peace be upon him) organized a training workshop entitled “A Turning Point from High School to University Life” 🎓✨ for students of the Cybersecurity Department and the Artificial Intelligence Department. The workshop was delivered by Trainer Asst. Lecturer Safaa Al-Silawi, who discussed the key differences between high school and university life, ways to adapt to the new university environment, as well as developing self-reliance skills, time management, and building the character of a conscious and responsible university student.   The workshop aimed to support first-year students, help them begin their academic journey with confidence, and enhance their psychological and academic readiness to engage in the university learning experience with a positive and ambitious spirit.

Lecturer Safaa Al-Silawi and Trainer Karrar Rasool. It addressed the key differences between high school and university life, mechanisms for adapting to the new university environment, and the development of self-reliance skills, time management, and building the character of a conscious and responsible university student. The workshop aimed to help first-year students begin their academic journey with confidence and to enhance their psychological and academic readiness to engage in the university learning experience with a positive and ambitious spirit.  

A Training Workshop Entitled “Using Email”

As part of the plans of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology to develop students’ practical skills, the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University (peace be upon him) organized a training workshop entitled “Using Email.” The workshop was presented by Lecturer Hussein Zaki Al-Mankoushi, with the participation of students from the Department of Cybersecurity and the Department of Artificial Intelligence. It aimed to develop students’ email communication skills and enhance their academic and professional correspondence. This workshop comes the College’s ongoing efforts to prepare students with practical skills that keep pace with technological advancements.

College of Computer Science and Information Technology at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University (Peace Be Upon Him) Holds a Practical Training Workshop on Fiber Optic Cables As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen practical learning and develop students’ technical skills, the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University (peace be upon him) organized a specialized practical training workshop on Fiber Optic cables and the mechanisms of fiber optic cable connection. The workshop was delivered by Engineer Ali Hussein Aboud and Technician Bariq Falah Hassan from Earthlink Company. It included a detailed explanation of the concept of fiber optic cables, their types, correct connection methods, fiber splicing techniques, as well as a review of practical applications used in modern telecommunications networks. The workshop aimed to equip students with hands-on knowledge and modern technologies, contributing to the development of their technical skills and preparing them to efficiently enter the labor market.
