The College of Science at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him) organized an awareness workshop entitled The Impact of Drug Abuse on Society, presented by faculty member Assistant Lecturer Abbas Taher, with the participation of students and academic staff.

The workshop shed light on the health and social risks associated with drug abuse, emphasizing its destructive effects on individuals, families, and society, as well as its implications for public security and stability.

The lecturer discussed the main causes behind the spread of this phenomenon and explored methods of prevention and treatment, highlighting the crucial role of educational institutions in raising awareness and promoting a culture of social responsibility among youth.

The session concluded with a set of recommendations stressing the importance of continuous education and awareness programs, both within and beyond the university, to help curb the spread of drugs and protect society from their harmful consequences.
