College of Science at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa Holds Workshop on Women’s Day: Empowering Women in Science and Technology

The College of Science at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him) organized an awareness workshop entitled Women’s Day: Empowering Women in Science and Technology, delivered by faculty member Assistant Lecturer Karar Sadiq Mohsen, with the participation of students and academic staff.

The workshop highlighted prominent historical figures who contributed significantly to the advancement of modern medical physics and information technology, underscoring their pioneering roles in shaping scientific progress.

As part of the session, the lecturer presented an inspiring example of a leading woman in science and society: Assistant Professor Dr. Shaimaa Hussein Noufal, Dean of the College of Science, who stands out as the only female dean at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa. Her leadership was showcased as a model of academic excellence and women’s empowerment within the university community.

The workshop also introduced a practical plan for students to enhance women’s visibility both locally and internationally in scientific activities, ensuring their empowerment and active participation in the academic and research community.

This initiative reflects the university’s ongoing commitment to promoting equality, fostering women’s leadership, and building a scientific environment that supports reform and development.
